Exhaust leak due to failed gasket. This appears to be a common fault that lots of owners have reported - catch it within the Warranty period and have your Dealer replace it free of charge.

What I discovered was that a leak had formed between the rear cylinder exhaust pipe fittings. I could see the seal vibrating and feel (and hear) the exhaust leak. My gasket started to go at around just 6000 miles and by the time it was fixed at around 7500 miles the exhaust joint was blowing lots of gas and the bike was doing great backfires on the over-run due to air being drawn in.

Apparently the TLR's had the exact same problem........so if the problem has been around so long why couldn't Suzuki get it right for the SV!?

Keep an eye on this everyone......exhaust gases will stain or even scorch your shock spring.
