NB: this mod is not recommended unless you have fitted a 2 into 1 exhaust system - you'll have trouble getting the stand down with a conventional 2 into 2 system (read on, all will become clear)

This is the result from the removal of my 'Coat Hanger' on the Side Stand. It looks much better when the bike is set up with a 2 to 1 exhaust and took about an hour total time with a Dremel Tool. Finish the bare metal left with gloss back paint...job done.

Use three cut off wheels to get it done.

I now hook my heel on the base of the side stand to put it down. No problems at all.

Poncho Villa: SVdave, great mod! finally something I can use...a subtraction instead of another bolt on! Took me only 30 minutes and 2 wheels...must be cuz mines a nekid. Less of it there to start with? damn, is this bike getting smaller or what?
