Paul Sr is the colorful and well articulated owner/president of Orange County Choppers as seen on the Discovery Channel. He is often referred to as the chief inspiration of my crafts, skills and outlook as he has often stated; “get your ass in gear before I introduce you to my size 13’s”!

Intro....
Andy asked me to say what I liked about the SV after he saw the first draft of my assignment....So I took a pad of paper and pen and went to the garage and listed all the things I do like about this bike. here they are.
If I seem to cut up on it a fair amount, well I would cut up on any machine that I happen to be in a relationship with. uh oh, that didn't sound right...or good.
There are things that I like...a lot. There are things that I hate. Like a woman you just have to take the bad with the good.
Given a venue (forum) to express myself, I tend to take liberties.....that's ok with a bike or dog, not good with a chick, they have extremely thin skin and sharp teeth too!
Back to the bike thing.
I have had lots of bikes and riding experience, 32 years. yikes! I could be Old Fart. no way, Im very much too adolecent for that to happen. I know what I am looking for in a bike. To date I have not found one that possesses all the attributes that I want. Therefore I must build it myself, it seems reasonable to start with a manufactured platform and then cut away all the non essential stuff...ie.'crapola', then of course is the need to add back the stuff that wasn't there to start with. In the end you wind up with something that no one else could or would want. perfection. mine.
Perhaps that is why I disdain all the cookie cutter copies that I see everybody do. It is not exclusive to this site or style of bike, it exists everywhere, even outside of bikedom.
So having expressed myself so liberally...I can't believe that I said that...here is my list of 'likeable attributes' to our beloved SV.

Motor = 1000cc perfect size motor, not too big and not too small
= 90 Vtwin perfect configuration, all motorcycles should be twins
= Smooth that’s what you get with a 90, unless you’re a moto guzzi
= Powerful well thought out design, time and track proven
= Torque it’s the stuff the best motors produce, w/o it you aint got shit
= Liquid cooled makes for a more better motor even with all the hoses n stuff
= Oil Cooler we like our oil cool, its much more oilier that way
= Wet Sump why on earth does anybody still make dry sumps? They suck!
= Electric Fuel Injection Can you say programmable? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
= Large throttle bodies big air
= Large air filter more big air
= Hydraulic clutch who still uses cables?, why? Shoot em, now!
= Digital Instruments lots of info and easy to read in real time
= Good hand controls clean, simple, functional and in all the right places
Tires Tubless radials tubes on a bike is like 5 bullets in Russian Roulet
Large size lots of sticky down there where it matters
Wheels Aluminum light and easy to clean
Swing Arm Large box section strong and easy to clean
Aluminum light and strong
Rear Suspension Linked mono shock good road manners
Adjustable more good road manners
Brakes Double fronts good anchors w/o being over powered and sensitive
Single rear little itty bitty thing is hard to lock up. I like it.
Aluminum Frame - love a nice lightweight frame
Truss ?..... what is this?, trying to copy ducati? I could do better! Besides you are covering up my beautiful motor.

Most what I Like is
The way it handles light weight 380lbs (172Kilos) now! Carves like a butchers knife
The way it feels nimble, tossable, stable. Take that you bitch and it keeps coming back for more.
The way it sounds new pipe w/o baffles, it Rumbles, it Rips, it ROARS!
The way it looks? it is one fuggly beast, but like my Harley I love it anyways
